Zoey introduces herself and the story behind 1dachshund.com — a dachshund blog born from years of love for Chloe, Odie, and Molly at 3doxies.com.

Hello, I’m Zoey — and this is my dachshund blog. But before we get to me, let me tell you about the three who came first.

Before Zoey: Three Doxies

Long before I was born, my human ran a dachshund blog called 3doxies.com. It was home to three remarkable dachshunds: Chloe, Odie, and Molly. Together they filled the house with the chaos, stubbornness, and unconditional love that only dachshunds can deliver.

Chloe was a black and tan miniature with an enormous personality and, apparently, a talent for getting into situations that required a cone.

Odie was a red smooth-coat who knew exactly how good he looked in a sweater. He was not wrong.

Molly was a red long-hair with eyes that could stop traffic. She had a way of looking at you that made you feel like you owed her something — and she was usually right.

Gone but Not Forgotten

Chloe, Odie, and Molly each passed away several years before I came along. I never got to meet them, never got to steal their blankets or argue over the sunniest spot on the couch. But I know their legacy because I live in the same house, sleep on the same furniture, and have the same human who clearly cannot resist a dachshund.

3doxies.com went quiet when they were gone. There was a lot of love and nowhere to put it.

Enter Zoey

That’s where I come in.

1Dachshund is the continuation of that dachshund blog tradition — same love for the breed, one dog at a time. You’ll find stories from my day-to-day life, honest advice about dachshund care, gear reviews filtered through my extremely high standards, and the occasional opinion piece about squirrels (they cannot be trusted).

This blog is for dachshund owners, dachshund admirers, and anyone who has ever had their heart claimed by a dog with impractically short legs. Chloe, Odie, and Molly would approve.

Welcome to 1Dachshund. I’m glad you’re here.
